BIG hearted gritting crews leapt into action this morning when a prescription delivery van was stuck in snow.
Shropshire Council crews who were out with mini gritters this morning, March 10, helped to free the prescription delivery van that was stuck next to Day Lewis Pharmacy in English Walls, Oswestry.

Shropshire Council were out with their mini gritters, treating roads and pavements to help keep them accessible during the bad weather across the county, when they saw the vehicle stuck in the snow.

A spokesperson from the council said: "In Oswestry on Friday morning, whilst driving past, one of the crews noticed that this van was trapped and the driver was unable to move it due to the snow.
"So, they parked up and went to the rescue.
"They really did go the extra mile to help someone in need and we want to thank them for their efforts."
