OSWESTRY bed and breakfast owners went above and beyond for their guests - by acting as witnesses at their wedding.
Blair Jones and Daniel Ellicott from Leamington Spa stayed at Oswestry's Nant Gloyw bed and breakfast, in Oerley Way, last year, just after Daniel proposed at Llanrhaeadr Waterfall.
When the happy couple decided to return to Shropshire for a registry office wedding, they asked Michael and Gayle Hudson from Nant Gloyw if they would act as witnesses.
Michael said: "When we started our bed and breakfast we hoped we might meet some interesting people and play a part in them having an enjoyable stay with us.

"We never expected to be involved in a wedding but felt privileged to be part of Blair and Daniel's big day.
"We wish them all the best for their future together."
In a Facebook post, the bed and breakfast owners joked: "Let's face it, anyone who goes to the waterfall in full wedding gear is already laughing in the face of adversity, we think they'll be fine."
Blair explained that the reason why they wanted Gayle and Michael, is because they were so welcoming last year when they got engaged.
She said: "We had to postpone the wedding due to work commitments.
"So when we were deciding how we want to go forward, we came to the conlusion that eloping would be the best option for us.
"We wanted to do it somewhere special to the both of us, and Daniel proposed to me at Llanrhaeadr Waterfall, and afterwards we stayed at Gayle and Michael's bed and breakfast."
Blair continued: "That's how we got the connection with them.
"And they were so lovely, so we asked them if they wanted to be our witnesses."
Daniel said that him and Blair have only been together around seven months before they got engaged last year in March.
He explained: "She came down with Covid in January, so i promised her when she recovers that I will take her somewhere for the weekend, a place of her choice.
"So she decided to see the waterfall.
"Then I did some research on it, and I saw how beautiful it was.
"I thought it was the right place to propose to her."
The newly weds are very thankful for the people that have made their wedding and engagement that much more special, including, the ladies at the cafe Gegin Fach in Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant, and their Oswestry-based wedding photographer, Janine Speake.
The couple followed the registry office wedding with photos at Llanrhaeadr Waterfall where the proposal took place last year.
Blair and Daniel spent their mini honeymoon at Nant Gloyw before returning home for family celebrations.
