Sophie Rickman, a close friend of Callum and his family, counted around 130 cars at the procession that took place today, March 4, at the Montgomery Waters Meadow, home of Shrewsbury Town FC

She said: “At least 130 cars turned up today for Cal, it was so heart-warming to see so many people.

“Many stopped traffic to let us through and it has been an incredibly difficult day.

“However, we all know Cal would be laughing at us right now.

“It would have been exactly what he wanted.”

Callum loved cars, and his family and friends felt the best way to commemorate him would be to hold another car meet-up, where vehicles of all shapes, colours and sizes came and revved their engines in his memory.

The procession started from his home in Ruyton- XI- Towns, following down the A5 past Nesscliffe services where more cars joined, the procession then passed the scene of the crash towards Shrewsbury, ending at the football ground, as the funeral car together with family and close friends continued to the crematorium.

Sophie has set up a GoFundMe page for the family to support them with funeral costs and anything they have needed in this hard time.

Alongside her, Toni Lache and Brent Bailey started the 10pmclub for car enthusiasts a couple years ago.

And they used the club as a platform for a fundraiser meet to raise money for Callum's family and to also bring tribute to him.

Over 500 cars turned up at the meet-up on January 29, and they raised £1,890.04 for his family.
