A FIRE involving the contents of a metal shipping container used for storage at a domestic property in Oswestry has been tackled by firefighters.
Crews from Oswestry and Ellesmere were sent to Victoria Road shortly before 2.45pm on Wednesday, February 15 after reports of the container on fire.
Firefighters from Shropshire Fire and Rescue used breathing apparatus, a covering jet with a hosereel jet plus positive pressure ventilation and a thermal imaging camera to tackle the blaze.
They were on scene for around 30 minutes before a stop message confirming no further assistance was required was sent to SFRS control.
