A TRIBUTE has been paid to a former Advertizer photographer who has died shortly before his 91st birthday.
Neville Pratt, 90, died last month on January 16, and worked for the paper from the mid-1950s for nearly two decades before moving to North Wales.
He was remembered by family members, including Patricia Lea, who said he will be missed by all who knew him.
She said: “Neville was a well-known face in and around the Oswestry area between the mid-1950s and 1974 when he then moved to Denbigh to work on the Denbighshire Free Press until his retirement in 1997.
“He was highly respected among his fellow journalists from his early days at the "Tizer" to when he was on the ‘DFP’.

“He had worked alongside some of Wales' most accomplished photographers including Geoff Charles, Tom Morgan and Glyn Roberts.
“In 1997 he married Adele Meades and gained a ready-made family much to his delight.
“He was always referred fondly by them as "Gramps" – a cheery person he will be very much missed by all his family.”
