A WELL-KNOWN fundraiser is preparing to host a fire walk in aid of a local children's hospice.
William 'Lenny' Worthing tries to raise money for charities every year and for 2023 he has decided to take on one of his biggest challenges to date in aid of Hope House - and he's looking for other people to join him.
Lenny will be hosting a fire walk - which will see people walk over hot embers or hot stones for the brave - at Morda Village Hall on October 28.
He said: "I wanted to do something that a group of people can take part in together.
"Different people have asked me if I can organise something to challenge them."
In the past Lenny has ran marathons dressed up as beloved characters such as a Minion, he has wing walked, and done all sorts to raise money for different charities.

"A lot of people have not pushed themselves to their limits, or they have never done something for charity, so I thought this would be a good way to get more people involved," he added.
The challenge needs a minimum of 50 participants to take place, and the tickets cost £30 per person, for over-18s only.
The event is set to start at 5pm on the day with the registration.
"The reason I am pushing it now is to give people time to rise money in sponsorship for Hope House," Lenny explained.
In the ticket price participants will get a single lane fire walk, workshop for participants led by a fully certified and an insured firewalking instructor, as well as a motivational seminar.
The whole experience will take around two and a half hours, and Lenny is encouraging brave fundraisers to bring their friends and family to witness the walk.
Lenny continued: "The actual walk is only a small part of it really, you're on it then you're off it.
"But it will be a great opportunity for people to bond and chear people on."
"This is about everyone having fun at the same time as making money for a great cause."
Tickets can be picked up in Oswestry at, Your Mug On A Mug at 4 Beatrice Street, Oswestry, or from Lenny on 07766 633952 or on Facebook at William Worthing.
