FIREFIGHTERS were called to a disused railway line in Oswestry on Monday night after youths had apparently become stuck there.
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) confirmed one crew from its Baschurch station had been called to assist West Mercia Police officers close to Cambrian Medical Centre near Thomas Savin Road shortly before 5pm.
However, upon arrival, firefighters found the youths had managed to get themselves off the line and away from danger without needing any help from emergency services.
A stop message confirming no further assistance was needed was sent to SFRS control at 5.30pm.
