A POPULAR hotel and spa will be the focus of the start of a charity walk helping to raise funds for a hospice that serves people in Wrexham and Shropshire.
Nightingale House Hospice, in Wrexham, has 'excitedly' announced that its World Heritage Walk will return for 2023, once again sponsored by Pat’s Coaches of Southsea.
Taking place on Sunday, March 26 the event provides the perfect opportunity for supporters to take on a 13-mile walk along the beautiful heritage trail to raise money for patient care at the hospice.
Nightingale House community fundraiser Sue Williams said: “Our World Heritage Walk is such a popular event among our supporters, and we are so pleased to see it returning once again for 2023.
"Come along and join us for a fabulous experience while raising much needed funds for Nightingale House Hospice.
"We look forward to seeing you."
Chris Burgoyne, from the Chirk Fundraising Group added: “We are delighted to be supporting the Heritage Walk on March 26 and hope lots of people will join us on the day.”

From there, walkers will be transported by Pat’s Coaches to the Chainbridge Hotel, Llangollen where they will begin their walk.
This year the event is being supported by Nightingale House’s Chirk fundraising group.
Participants can complete the walk entirely at their own pace and the event is open to all.
The World Heritage Walk is a distinctive 13-mile journey through beautiful scenery along the legendary towpaths and footpaths of Llangollen and Oswestry, an area steeped in local heritage.
Walking with fellow Nightingale House supporters, breathtaking scenery can be seen at every twist and turn, including the iconic Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, Chirk Aqueduct, Trevor Basin and the Chirk Tunnel.
As well as raising much-needed funds it is also a great opportunity to walk through some of the region’s most picturesque countryside, an area awarded the status of World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
