VALENTINE'S Day is fast approaching and couples around Oswestry will be thinking of how they can celebrate.
For some it will mean gifts, others a date or meal.
However some will want to remember their day with their loved on by enjoying the great outdoors.
The Tizer shares five walks in the Oswestry area for couples to enjoy.
Rhiwargor Falls
A 2.4-km circular trail near Oswestry which is popular trail for hiking, running, and walking, but you can still enjoy some solitude.
The trail takes you along Afon Eiddew to the picturesque Rhiwargor Falls, also known as Pistyll Rhyd-y-meinciau which is a lovely spot for a picnic.

Lake Vyrnwy
They say that everyone can hug, but only the Welsh can cwtch.

Oswestry-Morda river walk
This walks takes you to the south of town, through fields and along the river.
It then goes up and back into town through the edge of fields and school playing fields.
This walk offers lovely views and a chance to glimpse the industrial heritage of the area as you pass an old mill in the valley below.

Pistyll Rhaeadr, Llanrhaeadr
Pistyll Rhaeadr is an enchanting waterfall in the Berwyn Mountains near Llanrhaeadr.
At 240ft (80m) high it is Britain's tallest single-drop waterfall, captivating all who visit her.
Generation after generation take in the spirit and presence of this special place.

Oswestry Hillfort
To get up to the hill fort you need to climb about 100 wide steps but it is worth the effort.
Once you get to the top you will be rewarded with panoramic views down to south Shropshire and across into Wales and up north to the Cheshire plains.
You should allow a couple of hours to do this at a leisurely pace and appreciate your surroundings.
This walk is for people who want a short walk but be rewarded by visiting an ancient monument and appreciating wonderful views.
