TRADERS are being given the chance to tender for a pitch in one of Oswestry's most prestigious open spaces – Cae Glas Park.
Two licensed pitches are being made available Oswestry Town Council for light refreshments and the staple of any park in the summer, an Ice Cream stall.
The pitches will be for three years at £2,000 a year and anyone looking to tender for them will need to do so by the end of February.
A spokesman said: "Oswestry Town Council is welcoming submissions for expressing an interest in the opportunity to trade from Cae Glas Park.
"There are two licensed pitches available for traders: light refreshments which is mobile, trading adjacent to the children’s play area and also a homemade/traditional ice cream offer which is also mobile, trading immediately adjacent to the pavilion.
"The licences are for three years at a cost of £2,000 per annum starting from April 2023.
"The licensee will have access to Cae Glas Park for 12 months of the year, apart from Christmas Day, including all events held within the park.
"The decision to award the licence will be made by a committee of the council and be based on a balance of quality of proposal and offer.
"The trader will be informed of the decision in writing.
"Tender submissions should include the following information – details of your business and where you trade from; products you will be selling; the number of days, and specific dates you will be trading per year; contact details and a copy of your public liability insurance."
Full submissions must be received by noon, Tuesday, February 28.
