A BID to create two holiday lets from a former agriculture building in Trefonen has been given the green light by Shropshire Council.
The plan, for Pentre Issa, was given the go-ahead by planning officer Mark Perry in mid-December, with conditions placed on developers who want to convert the Grade-II listed building.
In his report, Mr Perry said he approved the conversion because it did not impact on the surroundings, while Trefonen Parish Council did not support or object to the application, but insisted conditions had to be met.
Mr Perry said: "The holiday let use, as proposed, is considered appropriate within this location and is of no demonstrational harm in terms of visual impacts on the surrounding area the Listed Building, the setting of adjacent listed buildings or neighbouring amenities.
"The barn remains in good condition and is deemed appropriate in its scale and design.
"The application therefore accords with the principal determining criteria of the relevant development plan policies and approval is recommended."
Conditions include an ecological expert's report, bird boxes location and plans, and external lighting plans to be submitted to Shropshire Council.
Furthermore, the building must never have permanent residence.
