ELLESMERE Rangers make the trip to Eccleshall on Boxing Day with the Swans keen to gain ground on the North West Counties League South leading pack.
Despite a frustrating month with a host of matches being postponed due to the weather, the north Shropshire club will make the trip with a degree of match fitness
Rangers faced JD Cymru North side Guilsfield on Saturday with both clubs keen to keep their squad fitness levels high.
A club spokesman said: “We are looking forward to having a competitive game on Boxing Day after having so many games off due to the weather.

“We managed to get a friendly in on Saturday against Guilsfield which was a good run out for everyone.”
However the Swans expect a tough afternoon in Staffordshire as they strive to maintain their pursuit of the league leaders Stockport Town and Wythenshawe Amateurs.
The spokesman added: “Eccleshall are normally a good outfit and always give us a good game. It’s a tough place to go.
“They have a decent set up there and the pitch is in good condition so hopefully we can get the ball down and play and come back with the three points.”
