A HOUSE fire in Oswestry in the early hours of Wednesday morning led to firefighters being called out to tackle the blaze.
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) said three engines from Oswestry and Ellesmere were sent to a property in Glentworth Close at around 4.20am.
Firefighters used breathing apparatus, a covering jet and a hosereel jet to put the fire out, with assistance from North Wales Fire Service in Chirk.
A spokesman for SFRS said: "This incident involved a property fire.
"Crews extinguished using two hose reel jets, one covering jet and and six breathing apparatus – assistance from North Wales Fire Chirk appliance."
SFRS also said that ambulance staff and police officers were also on scene for the fire.
A stop signal was sent to control confirming no further assistance was needed at 5.55am.
