AN ELLESMERE man has been resentenced after he failed to comply with a community order.
Earlier this year, Janis Augustovs received a community order after he was convicted of drink-driving in Ellesmere on October 20, 2021.
But at Telford Magistrates' Court on Monday, November 14, the 43-year-old admitted breaching that order by failing to attend his unpaid work appointments on March 2 and 9, this year and failing to provide acceptable evidence to cover the absence.
Magistrates agreed to revoke the order and instead told Augustovs, of The Trench, that he would be resentenced for driving a BMW in Berwyn View when he had 120 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.
For that offence, they fined him £750.
He must also pay £60 court costs for breaching his community order.
