PEOPLE are invited to send cards and gifts to a four-year-old girl battling a brain tumour who is celebrating Christmas early due to her worsening condition.
On the day of her third birthday, Aria Hodgkiss, from Rhostyllen, Wrexham, was tragically diagnosed with diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG) - a tumour of the brain stem which is the deadliest form of childood cancer.
She has bravely fought the aggressive tumour for a year and a half, but her family was recently given the devastating news that her tumour has grown again.
As it is unknown how long Aria will be able to carry on fighting the disease, her family are holding an early Christmas Day for her on November 12.
The family is inviting people to send cards and gifts to the workplace of Aria's dad, Carl, in Oswestry. The address is as follows:
Aria Hodgkiss,
C/O Carl Hodgkiss,
Veolia,
Mile Oak Industrial Estate,
Maesbury Road,
Morda,
Oswestry,
SY10 8GA.
Aria's mum, Melanie, said: "We have decided on no Amazon wish list but to let people send something if you wish to. A card would be amazing.
"Please don't feel you need to as we are doing this for Aria to make memories as we may not be lucky enough to reach Christmas with her. If we do get to Christmas Day with her then this is a bonus. I can only hope and pray.
"Thank you so much to everyone who wants to help with Aria. You are all amazing."
Aria has been receiving a new form of treatment as part of a clinical trial out of Germany, which costs the family thousands of pounds a month to buy.
A fundraiser, which Wrexham AFC's star owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney each donated £10,000 to, has reached its £60,000 goal.
"We were all in tears and in shock. We were so happy that they were so generous," Melanie said.
