AN ELLESMERE farm has submitted plans to Shropshire Council build a polytunnel for lambing, and general agricultural storage.
The plans for the tunnel are for Heath Villa in Brown Heath in Ellesmere.
A design and access statement for the proposal, on behalf of applicants Kevin and Sam Williams, explained the couple have been able to rent additional land after expanding its flock.
It added: "The holding extends to 6.5 acres of land owned adjacent to Heath Villa, plus an additional 5.5 acres rented nearby.
"The applicants flock extends to 31 sheep with 21 ewes lambing over a six-eight week period in the spring meaning the flock would extend to circa 70 sheep; made up the lambing ewes and lambs.

"The polytunnel extends to 81.95sqm.
"Thus the building is sufficiently large to house the lambing sheep.
"Out of the lambing season the building will be used for the storage of fodder and equipment used within the holding, such as sheep handling equipment."
