Llanfyllin Library is opening its doors as a warm hub from next week onwards, offering support to people during the coming winter months.
As the cost-of-living crisis makes heating homes all the more difficult during the winter, Llanfyllin is one of many towns across Powys and the UK offering a warm hub, a safe and inclusive community area for residents to find a heated space and refreshments.
The Llanfyllin Library will serve as a warm hub on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 9.30am to 3pm, starting the week beginning October 24.

The space has been organised by the Llanfyllin Wellbeing Group in partnership with Powys Library Services.
Llanfyllin Wellbeing Group describes its warm hub as “a warm, supportive and welcoming space open to all.
The warm hub also offers hot drinks, Wi-Fi, computers, board games, creative sessions, books and newspapers to keep people entertained while inside the hub.
The spaces will also have energy and money advice from agencies as well as signposting to further support.
