AN OSWESTRY man has been charged after an incident that led to the death of a young woman in Willow Street in the early hours of Sunday.
Stephen McHugh, 27, of Artillery Road, Park Hall, near Oswestry, has been charged with murder and causing grievous bodily harm.
He is due to appear at Kidderminster Magistrates’ Court today (Wednesday).
The charge relates to an incident on Willow Street on Sunday, October 9 during which 22-year-old Rebecca Steer died.
A 28-year-old man from Oswestry also arrested on suspicion of murder has been bailed.
