Flooding that hit the centre of Oswestry earlier this week has had a longer-term impact on one of the major mobile phone networks in the town.
Local people have been complaining about their mobile signal since the beginning of the week, after an explosion at a substation in the basement of Home Bargains left many businesses and houses in the area without power.
The EE connection was also affected as their mast has gone down since Home Bargains had to shut off the power following the flood.
A spokesman for EE said: "We don't know if the mast is broken or not as our engineers are not yet allowed to go check.
"The electricity was turned off and until Home Bargains deals with the issue we have our hands tied.
"Even then, Scottish Power might have to go first to make sure it's all safe."
Many people have taken it to the EE online discussion forum to complain about the issue.
One customer said: "Since the flooding in Oswestry's substation on Monday I've had no internet and no signal and quite frankly I'm not happy, I've had no email updates as to the time scale.
"Can you tell me when I will have a signal again and will I be compensated?"
EE has asked customers to keep checking for updates, and look on the company's Network Status Checker
