AN OSWESTRY man who admitted breaking a restraining order and assaulting a woman will be sentenced at Telford Magistrates Court next month.
Michael Bridgewater, 31 and of Oswald Place in Oswestry, appeared at the court on Wednesday, September 28 charged with breaching a restraining order on conviction and also of common assault, to which he pleaded guilty.
The court heard that on April 16 this year, Bridgewater spoke in person to a woman when he was prohibited from doing so by a restraining order placed on him by Shrewsbury Crown Court in September 2020.
On the same day he breached his restraining order, he assaulted another man.
Magistrates were told that both offences were of a 'domestic' nature, and an application for a bad character reference was withdrawn after the defendant's guilty plea.
A pre-sentence report will be prepared for magistrates before sentenced is passed on Wednesday, October 19 at 10am.
