THE trial of an Oswestry man accused of harassing someone by calling them the name of a local special educational needs college as an insult during a harassment spree has been put back to the new year.
Christopher Price, 46 and of West Felton, arrived to appear at Telford Magistrates Court on Thursday, September 22 to face two charges of harassment without violence and threatening behaviour against a police officer.
It is alleged that Price called Glena Milward a 'Derwen', in reference to the Gobowen-based educational facility, as part of a period of swearing and harassing on May 26, 2021 when he entered a store where the claimant was present.
Price is also accused of using threatening behaviour and words towards a police officer with the intent of causing them harm and distress on September 28, 2021.
He denied both charges. Price will return to Telford Magistrates Court on Thursday, January 5.
