PUB landlords in Weston Rhyn have hit out police after waiting several weeks to speak to officers after an assault on their premises.
Callum Blackburn was, until this week, manager and resident at The Lodge pub with his partner Elizabeth Littlehales, but they have since moved back to Chester.
Callum was working when a customer became angry and aggressive, and when asked to calm down, threw a glass at him, smashed an entrance door, and threatened him.
Elizabeth said no police officers have come to take statements and collect evidence after the 'horrifying' attack – despite assurances they would attend.
"Callum asked him to calm down a few times and he then got extremely aggressive and angry, and he grabbed a glass jar from our pool room that we keep our chalks in," said Elizabeth.
"He threw it at Callum who was behind the bar – luckily he ducked but it hit the back of the bar and smashed a lot of our glasses, shattered across the pub and it was all over the floor.
"He continued to yell, ran behind the bar to get him and at this point was yelling that he was going to kill him, over and over.
"The man then grabbed his father's pint glass and throws it at Callum who is hurt at this point, and then he smashed our glass door into the street with people and children walking by.
"I rang the police when he smashed the door as I was in a state of shock and disbelief about what was happening.
"We assumed someone would turn up but nobody did.
"They didn't come to collect the blood which would have got his DNA and we've got it all on CCTV but nothing is done because were haven't seen a single officer."
Elizabeth admitted she was taken aback when she heard officers were in the village for a less serious reason days later.
She added: "A few days after this they did manage to send officers to round up some sheep that were in the road.
"That felt like a kick in the teeth – so many customers came in and brought it up.
"Obviously sheep in the road is dangerous, I understand that, but we needed someone to be here and I have never been so scared in all of my life.
"But it wasn't an attack on us or the pub, but it just happened to us that day."

Oswestry Safer Neighbourhood team (SNT) Inspector Claire Greenaway-Evans apologised 'deeply' for the delay.
She said: "During the call to police the call taker was advised that the male had left, owing to other incidents that carried a high level of risk the incident didn’t attract an immediate response and officers were scheduled to attend as soon as they were available.
"Unfortunately during the summer period West Mercia Police have seen an unprecedented amount of calls for service from members of the public a number of them carrying a high level of risk and requiring immediate deployment, this has seen a slower response to other incidents.
"Subsequently West Mercia Police suffered IT system disruption which hampered officer deployment.
"The victims were able to provide a great deal of information about the incident which will assist in the investigation of the incident."
