PUPILS from a performance academy in Weston Rhyn are 'heading for the red carpet' after successfully filming a bespoke 'School of Rock' music video.
Face2Face Performance Academy takes place at the Holroyd Community Theatre, where the students rehearsed and filmed the music video following the plot of the critically-acclaimed and beloved Jack Black film.
The pupils learned all the techniques and all the terminology from professional film-maker Aaron Child of Painted Life Productions and the academy's team of professional coaches.
Creative director Michael Jenkins said: "We are keen to ensure that our pupils experience the breadth and depth of the performing arts industry, and offer opportunities that give them a truthful insight into the industry.
"This was a particularly creative project, spanning over ten weeks, pupils learned the script, song, and choreography before donning the costumes and getting in front of the camera."
He added: "As always, I was so impressed with our pupils' professionalism and talent.
"They were simply amazing."

Although most of the children are from Shropshire and surrounding areas, some travel from as far as Newtown to attend the weekly session.
Sofia, lead actor and long-standing member of the Face2Face Performance academy, has been attending for nearly five years and she loves it.
She said: "If you’re looking for an academy to learn acting, singing or dance, then definitely try Face2Face.
"Filming this project was really fun. We learned so much from being in front of the camera and being directed."
"I was surprised by how many different elements there were to creating the piece, from recording the soundtrack to the many different takes." Sofia added.
Face2Face Performance Academy takes place each Friday in term time and is open to young people aged nine to 18 years old.
There is no audition requirement to get involved, everyone is welcome.
The academy is now enrolling for September.
