A driver was given an unfortunate shock when they parked at a north Shropshire beauty spot this weekend.
The van was parked at Colemere Countryside Heritage car park, but was crushed when a tree fell on it.
It is not known whether anybody was in the van at the time of the incident.
Ellesmere's resident tree hunter Rob McBride posted under an image shared online.
"I really hope no one was hurt. But, was this a dangerous tree? NO. It was dangerous planning," he wrote.
"This could well have been avoided by not having a car park under the tree. The tree's roots have been compacted/compromised over many years. This is what can happen.
"Planners/highways need to consult properly qualified veteran tree experts before placing car parks etc. There is plenty of room at this site, well away from the veteran tree."
