FIREFIGHTERS in Oswestry were on hand to fight a silage blaze in Rednal in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Tow crews form the town's station – including the water carrier – were sent to the area near West Felton shortly after 1am to put out a fire involving a 10 by eight square metre fire of silage mess.
Video taken by firefighters showed the fire on the land beeing dampened down and a stop signal was sent to control requesting more support around two hours later.
Oswestry officer James Lewis tweeted: "Two fire appliances were mobilised from Oswestry.
"This incident involved an area of grass measuring approximately eight metres x 10 metres.
"Crews turning over and dampening down, good progress made."
