A ROAD accident more than a decade ago contributed to the death of a Llanfyllin man, an inquest has ruled.
Michael Holmes died in the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital on July 31, this year.
He was 76.
The inquest at Shirehall in Shrewsbury, on Thursday (August 11), was told the retired market trader was involved in a road traffic collision in 2009 and had hip replacement.

He suffered from chronic kidney disease and had been taking medicines for pain relief.
Mr Holmes had gone to the hospital after suffering from shortness of breath and was diagnosed with right sided pneumonia.
Coroner for Shropshire Telford and Wrekin, John Ellery, said it was a natural cause contributed to by the road traffic collision.
