It was with considerable dismay that I read in last week’s Tizer, that the long suffering residents of Chirk recently had to put up with yet another incidence of air pollution from Kronospan.

We are not a poor Third World Country and it is totally unacceptable that families, particularly children, have their lives continuously blighted by the activities of a large local factory, who knows that they can continue to operate irresponsibly, with no fear of retribution due to being a large employer in the area.

Goodness knows what the long term health consequences are and the local council and MP should now coordinate to make Kronospan operate safely and responsibly.
