THE more adventurous of Oswestry's young and old can take part in a 'roar-some' Jurassic adventure and unearth some ferociously fascinating dinosaur facts, thanks to a town business association.
Oswestry Business Improvement District (BID) is launching a Free Family Friendly Dino trail through its LoyalFree app and runs all the way until Wednesday, August 31.
A BID spokesman explained that by using QR codes, families will be able to collect dinosaurs across nine locations for the chance to be entered into a prize draw.
They said: "This summer the streets of Oswestry will see a Free Family Friendly Dino trail hit the Highstreet, allowing participants to take a prehistoric walk with dinosaurs and be in with a chance of winning some amazing prizes.
"The interactive trail brought to you by Oswestry BID, in partnership with the LoyalFree app and will run until August 31.
"The Dino trail will feature nine locations.
"Each location will host a poster with an educational dinosaur question.
"Participants can stomp along the trail and discover the answers by scanning the QR code on each poster and explorers who complete the trail, visiting all locations and scanning the QR codes will be entered into a prize draw."
The intrepid travellers can win vouchers to be used at either an Oswestry family attraction or restaurant, with first place receiving £100, second place £75 and third place £50.
There are six runner-up prizes of a £10 Booka Bookshop voucher from the Church Street store and the nine winners will also receive one of the Jellycat Dinosaurs hiding with the posters.
The BID spokesman added that there is also more than meets they eye to the little adventure and explained how to take part int he Dino trail.
They added: "Participants are warned to keep their eyes peeled for anagram letters along the way.
"Those who find all the letters and can unscramble them, solving the anagram can submit their answers for an additional chance to win.
"Taking part in the trail is easy to do.
"Simply download the LoyalFree app for free and head to the trails section of the app for more information.
