FIVE YOUNG people were rescued from a rowing boat following a water incident on the Mere
At 2.03pm (Tuesday, August 2), Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service received a call reporting an incident classified as water rescue in Ellesmere.
Three fire engines, including the Incident Support and Water Rescue Unit, were mobilised from Ellesmere, Oswestry and Shrewsbury and an operations office was in attendance.
A rescue boat was used and an additional rowing boat helped get them to land.
The stop message was received at 2.36pm.
