WEST Mercia Police's dogs unit will be carrying out patrols in the Oswestry area following a series of vehicle thefts.
Oswestry's Safer Neighbourhoods Team (SNT) reported on Saturday (July 30) that they had received several vehicle crime reports in the Oswestry, West Felton, Gobowen and Whittington areas.
Thieves have reportedly targeted roof boxes and tools from business vehicles.
A spokesperson for OsCops said: "There have been several vehicle crimes reported to us from Oswestry, West Felton, Gobowen and Whittington.
"Offences include theft from vehicle including roof boxes and tools where business vehicles have been targeted.
"Remove tools and don't store items overnight in roof boxes."

This was followed up by West Mercia Police's dogs unit who said they would be conducting patrols and also asked the public to report anything suspicious.
They said: "We are aware of this series of thefts, and will be assisting @OsCops in conducting patrols in an attempt to catch the offenders.
"If you see something suspicious in these areas call us. The public are our eyes and ears."
