AN ELLESMERE man accused of kicking, stamping and causing facial injuries to a couple will face crown court next month.
Owen Batha, formerly of Ellesmere but now from Bellstone in Shrewsbury, who was due to appear at Telford Magistrates Court on Tuesday, July 12 but failed to attend.
However, after a warrant was issued for his arrest and then subsequently quashed after an application from his solicitor, Batha did not indicate a plea on three charges.
He is accused of assaulting and causing actual bodily harm (ABH) against a woman and two further counts of ABH and assault against her partner on March 18 this year.
Batha will appear at Shrewsbury Crown Court on Wednesday, August 17, where he is expected to enter a plea, while Magistrates also applied to have Roberts's first crown appearance on the same day.
