PUPILS at a school in Oswestry will head into the summer holidays equipped with life skills after a session with Smash Life during the last half-term.
Smash Life, which is run by brothers Andy and Matt Smith, worked with pupils from Woodside Primary School, in Gittin Street, during the last six weeks from May to July.
The school said the workshops and lessons throughout the half-term were designed with a responsibility theme to equip pupils to think for themselves.
A school spokesman said: "Smash Life has worked with our Year 6 children this term.
"The focus of the work has been growing up and moving on.
"The children learnt how to make the right choices, how to deal with peer pressure, decision making, respect, self esteem and developing positive relationships.
"The children worked in small groups and learnt how to take responsibility, the consequences of their actions and words and developing their leadership skills."
Andy Smith, from Smash Life, praised the work of the pupils and admitted he was impressed by their sense of community at the school.
He added: “I have absolutely loved coming to Woodside School again this year.
"For the last six weeks we have covered a variety of subjects which will help inspire and prepare the children to move forward in a positive manner.
"I have been really impressed with the level of kindness, empathy, awareness and understanding shown by every child.
"It is very clear that they have a sense of belonging at Woodside School.”
