AN OSWESTRY man will face a crown court date next month over allegations he attempted to engage in sexual communications with a child.
Gareth Williams, of Whittington Road, did not enter a plea at Wrexham Magistrates Court on Friday, July 8 after he was charged with being an adult attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child to obtain gratification, and not reasonably believing they were over 16.
The charges allege that Williams, 35, believed he was talking to a 14-year-old girl but was in fact communication with a 'decoy group'.
He was given unconditional bail as magistrates sent his case to Mold Crown Court for a plea hearing on Friday, August 5.
