Chirk Gardeners’ Club recently visited the new RHS garden, Bridgewater, near Manchester as they learn more about plants and gardening.
They were given a very interesting and informative guided tour of the gardens.
The club has monthly talks, and this month they were pleased to have Sue Nicholas who does a lot of work for the Royal Horticultural Society come to talk on ‘Pests, Diseases, Disorders, and weeds.
She explained that the key to a healthy garden is healthy soil and healthy plants, so then pests and diseases do not get a hold.

Cathy Preston a local herb grower and willow weaving craftsperson will be giving a talk on herbs and their uses.
