A VILLAGE near Oswestry has got plenty planned to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee next month.
Gobowen will be hosting a Jubilee Fun Day on the playing fields on June 4 with a packed agenda kicking off at 12pm.
There will be football with Gobowen Celtic taking on the Gobowen Veterans, a Nerf shooting range, performances from the Border Counties School of Gymnastics and Gobowen School Choir, plus live music from 2.30pm.
Alongside this will be craft stalls, face painting, a bouncy castle, children's competitions, plus a barbecue, or you can bring your own picnic.

Fancy dress is encouraged.
Brenda Cassidy, who is helping to organise the event, said: "We as a community are having this event and we are just hoping everyone, from the youngest to the oldest will come and have a fun and enjoyable afternoon.
"It is something for everyone to remember this very special celebrations.
"We will never have another platinum jubilee in our lifetime or our children's lifetime."
