TWO teenagers and a man have been arrested after a 14-year-old boy was seriously assaulted in Ellesmere.
West Mercia Police is appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened between 5.30pm and 6.15pm on Tuesday, May 10 at the Ellesmere Cricket Ground off Birch Road.
The victim suffered facial injuries which required hospital treatment.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police confirmed the trio had been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and were later bailed.
They said: "A 13-year-old girl, a 16-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.

"They have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
"Officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or might have any information which would help with enquiries."
