A CHILD locked in a family bedroom needed rescuing by Oswestry firefighters on Tuesday evening.
One crew from the town was sent to a property in Maesbrook to released the youngster at 8.50pm.
According to the Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) log, the child was locked in the bedroom courtesy of a faulty mechanism but firefighters were able to gain access.

The stop signal was sent to control around 30 minutes later.
