A CAR was destroyed after it caught fire on the Oswestry bypass.
The incident happened on the A5 at Weirbrook, near West Felton, at around 4.30pm on Monday, May 9., after the vehicle had left the carriageway.
Paramedics and police were also called but nobody was trapped inside the vehicle.
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed it sent two crews from Oswestry and Ellesmere, as well as an operations officer.
They used breathing apparatus and a hosereel jet to put out the blaze, adding that the car was "100 per cent involved in the fire".
The stop call came in at 5.14pm.
