A LLANFYLLIN art group are underway with preparations for the town’s upcoming Queens Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
The event, taking place on June 3, will combine the occasion with St Myllin’s Day.
The day will play host to celebrations from 11am to 2pm followed by music outside the Cain Valley Hotel until 7pm.
A fundraising night for the event is being held at the Cain Valley Hotel on Wednesday, May 4.
Doors will be open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start, and will charge £5 per person for entry into the quiz.
Arts Connection are also looking for old photographs and film footage of Llanfyllin through the ages, which can be brought along to the Arts Connection office where they will be exhibited and projected at the event.
On the day there will be stalls, music, circus mayhem, a bouncy castle, a free brunch and more.
Arts Connection will also be holding a fancy dress competition, where the chosen theme is Royal.
The group is a participatory arts charity based in Llanfyllin, which works across North Powys and Wrexham.
