POLICE are appealing for information following a suspected burglary near Oswestry in the early hours of Wednesday (April 6).
West Mercia Police received reports of the raid on a cash machine at a business premises on the A483 in Pant, close to the junction with Penygarreg Lane at around 4.20am.
Details of whether any money was taken have not been released.
The road was closed while officers attended the scene and later a cordon was in place outside the village's McColls shop.

A spokesperson said: "Around 4.20am this morning (Wednesday, April 6) officers received a report of a burglary of a cash machine at a business premises on the A483 at Pant.
"The road was closed while officers attend the scene.
"Enquiries are ongoing."

Officers believe a BMW was involved in the incident and are asking for anybody who may have seen anything, or has dash cam footage, to get in touch.
And they confirmed a van found at the scene is being investigated in connection with the incident.
A representative for the firm that owns the van said it had been reported stolen last night.
The spokesperson added: "Officers believe a black or navy-blue BMW was involved in the incident.
"Anyone who saw, or captured on dash cam, the incident or a BMW being driven in the area is asked to please get in touch.

Alternatively, information can also be given via the anonymous Crimestoppers number 0800 555 111.
A van was seen inside the cordon this morning.
A representative for the firm that owns the van said it had been reported stolen last night.
