NORTH Shropshire MP Helen Morgan has slammed Covid-19 anti-vaccination activists who heckled Sir Keir Starmer earlier this week.
The Labour leader had to be rescued by police after he was surrounded by the mob near Parliament on Monday.
He faced baseless allegations of “protecting paedophiles” and chants about Jimmy Savile.
It comes after the Prime Minister last week accused Sir Keir of having “used his time prosecuting journalists and failing to prosecute Jimmy Savile” while director of public prosecutions (DPP). He had been repeatedly asked to fully withdraw the slur in the days since.
Ms Morgan has criticised the hecklers and said Boris Johnson should withdraw the comments he made and apologise to the Labour leader.
She said via Twitter: "These are disgraceful scenes of harassment and intimidation and they have no place in our democracy."
Ms Morgan later tweeted: "Johnson has shamed us all. He should withdraw his allegation, apologise and resign."

Mr Starmer and the Shadow Foreign Secretary, David Lammy, were walking outside Parliament when they came across the protestors, including Piers Corbyn, the brother of former Labour leader, Jeremy Corbyn.
The majority of the activists were first and foremost angered by Mr Starmer's support of the lockdown and other Covid-19 restrictions implemented by the Government and the belief he'd failed working class communities as Labour leader.
But there were some who shouted "traitor" and made references to serial child sex abuser, Jimmy Savile.
Mr Johnson tweeted that the “behaviour directed” at the Labour leader was “absolutely disgraceful” but did not address the nature of the abuse.
A Metropolitan Police statement said: “Shortly after 5.10pm on Monday February 7, a man who had been surrounded by a group of protesters near to New Scotland Yard, was taken away from the scene by a police car.
“A man and a woman were arrested at the scene for assault of an emergency worker after a traffic cone was thrown at a police officer.”
Home Secretary Priti Patel said the scenes were “completely unacceptable” and that she was in contact with police over the incident.
