A THIRD consecutive milk price rise has been confirmed by Meadow Foods.
The company has announced that it will be increasing its milk price by 1ppl from March 1, 2022 meaning that all producers will see their standard litre milk price rise to 35ppl, an equivalent manufacturing litre will be 35.63 pence per litre.
All changes will apply to the flat rate element on the price schedule.
It follows a price rise of 3ppl in January and a further 1ppl in February.
Mark Chantler, chief executive of Meadow Foods, said: “We promised to continue to closely monitor the markets and return any price increases to our farmer suppliers as soon as possible.
"As such, we are pleased to be able to further increase our standard litre price to 35ppl, our third consecutive rise in as many months.”
