SUPERSTAR Ryan Reynolds has congratulated a couple after playing an unexpected part in their engagement.
The Wrexham AFC co-owner and star of Free Guy and Deadpool tweeted "Wow!" after reading the Leader's story about Thomas Jones and Nicole Brunner.
Wow. ❤️❤️❤️

Wrexham fan Thomas, originally from Marchwiel but currently living in Michigan, had taken Nicole to California for a surprise trip.
While there, he visited Ryan Reynold's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Later, Thomas and Nicole went to Santa Monica beach where Thomas popped the question (the will you marry me question!).
Ryan saw the story and tweeted his response.
He posted "Wow" with three heart emojis.
He added: "She obviously said yes, I would, I mean wow!"

Twitter users also responded to the story, which is reminiscent of the plot of one of Ryan's rom-coms.
Dorothy Darling tweeted: "Looks like he won’t be a Free Guy for long."
Yes I did 🥰

Nicole, who is from Mount Pleasant in Michigan, herself tweeted a reply to Ryan: "Yes I did!"
Joe Halenbeck had some advice for Ryan, tweeting: "Omg you need to get ordained to marry them haha."
Twitter user Cyda added: "Wrexham fans have taken quite a shine to you and Rob."
Ryan and fellow actor Rob McElhenney, creator of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Mythic Quest, completed the takeover of Wrexham AFC in February.
They are expected to visit the town for the first time soon.
Thomas, who moved to Ellesmere from Marchwiel when he was 11, has not been able to return to Wrexham since the start of the pandemic.
Prior to that though, he and Nicole have attended matches at The Racecourse with Thomas' dad and brother.
Thomas hopes to return home at the end of the year to plan the wedding and, of course, take in a Wrexham match.
