AN AIR ambulance was called to Chirk after a Kronospan employee was injured while unloading a lorry this morning.
The Welsh Ambulance Service (WAS) was called at around 7.10am on Wednesday, and sent one emergency ambulance to the incident.
The Welsh Air Ambulance was also called to the incident.
Photographs showed the air ambulance parked on a field near the Kronospan factory in the town.
A Kronospan spokesman said: "One of our employees suffered an accident while unloading a lorry this morning.
"He has been taken to hospital and as is the normal case in such situations, the HSE has been informed.”
A WAS spokesman said: “We were called on Wednesday, March 31 at approximately 07.08am to reports of a person needing urgent medical care at an industrial site in Wrexham.
“We responded with one emergency ambulance and our crew received the support of the Wales Air Ambulance.”
The spokesman confirmed the incident was ongoing at 10.12am.
