THE family of the man who died following a road traffic collision near Bangor-on-Dee on Saturday afternoon have paid tribute to him.
Michael Howard Williams was 56-years-old and was born and bred in the Chirk area.
After attending Chirk Convent School he attended Lindisfarne School before joining the family company – Williams Plant Hire of Chirk.
His family said: "We are in total shock and disbelief and never expected that we would lose him so soon.
“He was a caring and loving Father to Georgia, Damien and Tanya and a fantastic Grandad to his six grandchildren.
“Motorbikes were his passion as well as shooting and fishing.
“He was a hardworking man who would do anything for his family. We shall miss him so much.”
Police continue to appeal for witnesses to the collision which happened shortly before 12.40pm on the A525 near Holly Bush between Bangor-on-Dee and Whitchurch which involved a black coloured motorcycle, being ridden by Mr Williams, and a grey coloured Audi Q7.
Anybody who may have witnessed the collision, or anybody who may have seen either vehicle prior to the collision and who has dash cam footage can contact officers at the Roads Policing Unit on 101 or via the live web chat quoting incident number 21000160835.
