A WREXHAM pub didn't let the new Covid restrictions stop it from holding its Christmas lights switch on event.
The Stanton House Inn, in Chirk, held the event on Saturday night - with Father Christmas even being on hand to give a present to each child that attended.
And if that wasn't enough, each child was also given a free burger or hot dog and a drink.
Thanking the pub for the event, a local resident described landlady Chelly and landlord Mark as "truly amazing people".
Chelly Jones, landlady of the Stanton, said: "Our community is so important to us so we wanted to put something on for local families, and throughout this festive time we will continue to try and lift spirits after what's been such a difficult year.
"We had a fabulous evening and the kids loved it."
