A LLANYMYNECH landlord who sexually assaulted an underage girl in his pub by kissing her has been given an 18-month community order.
Robert Hedley, 57, was convicted by a jury in October of sexual assault after the incident, which happened in June of 2018 at the Bradford Arms, in North Road, Llanymynech.
Shrewsbury Crown Court had heard that Hedley kissed the girl, who was under the age of 16, without her consent.
He was sentenced last week, where he was given a community order to last 18 months, and he will have to complete the Maps for Change programme for sex offenders, as well as 25 days of rehabilitation activity.
Hedley was also ordered to pay the £3,000 costs of the prosecution as well as a victim surcharge.
