We’re heading back nearly 40 years for this week’s Bygones, with May 1981 being our destination.

First of all we are taking a look at the leisure activities enjoyed by the of Oswestry and beyond.

As always, we’re looking for your help with identifying the people pictured – and the groups of which they were a part.

And this week, we can see that the range of interests of local people ranged from singing their hearts out in local choirs, to theatrical performances – in this case a particularly feisty showing – via coffee mornings and sit-down dinners. If you know the people involved, do get in touch.
