A MAN from St Martins has been banned from driving for 12 months after drug driving in Oswestry.
Drew Halligan, 27, from Greenfields, St Martins, appeared in Telford Magistrates Court on Wednesday, February 5, charged with driving a car with more than the legal amount of benzoylecgonine in his system.
Magistrates heard how on July, 31, 2019, police officers in Oswestry were asked to keep an eye on vehicle as the driver was suspected to be on drugs.
The vehicle was stopped in Black Gate Street, with Halligan, a female passenger and children also in vehicle.
Halligan, a warehouse worker, admitted he had used cocaine on weekend and on the scene tested positive for cocaine.
He was then arrested and sent to Shrewsbury Police Station.
Halligan pleaded guilty to the charge, and was fined £467 as well as being disqualified from driving for 12 months.
