A GROUP of embroiderers in Oswestry have come together to raise hundreds of pounds for a charity that supports abuse victims.
The Oswestry Border Embroiders held a craft fair to help clear the belongings of a resident, and raised around £400 for the charity Axis.
Axis is a counselling service based in Shrewsbury, supporting adult – male and female – victims of non-recent childhood sexual, physical and emotional abuse.
The group held the sale on Tuesday, November 5 at Oswestry Library and were able to sign a cheque over to Axis on the day,w ith more funds still to come.
A spokesman for the embroiderers thanked all those who head to the sale to help them raise the money.
